Smart-Stop bullet resistant glass (BRG) is manufactured by bonding together multiple layers of high quality glass and tough plastic interlayers of PVB in an autoclave which combines both heat and pressure. 

 

 

The resultant Smart-Stop multi-layer product prevents the bullets from penetrating through the BRG by absorbing and spreading out the force of their impact.

 

 

Smart-Glass BRG can be designed to withstand attack from various types of firearms thus protecting those individuals behind the glass.  This product obviously has many applications, but especially where certain locations may be particularly susceptible to attack such as embassies etc.
